The Relic series is somewhat more objective than the artist's other nonrepresentational artworks. These original oil paintings resemble mineral or rock formations and are usually more monochromatic with only subtle tones but complemented with dramatic textures. The earthy tones and ragged surface present a simple but rather compelling image.
